The mummified remains of a teenage boy, sustained unexamined at a museum in Cairo for over a century, have been digitally unwrapped for the first time, proverb an excess of amulets and plants adorned his body.

In a ogle, published in the journal Frontiers in Medicine on Tuesday, researchers reveal that the unnamed teenager, only 14 or 15 existences old, walked into the afterlife wearing a pair of white sandals. They used a computerized tomography (CT) scan, which scholarships for digital reconstructions of bone, blood vessels, soft tissues and more via X-rays, to peer inside the coffin.

"Here we show that this mummy's body was extensively decorated with 49 amulets, beautifully stylized in a unique arrangement of three columns between the folds of the wrappings and inside the mummy's body cavity," famed Sahar Saleem, a radiologist at Cairo University, Egypt, and honorable author on the paper. They've dubbed the mummy "Golden Boy."

Saleem way Golden Boy's adornments are in line with some of the rituals outlined in the Egyptian Book of the Dead, comprising the sandals. He was adorned with three columns of amulets between the folds of his wrappings, including items like the Eye of Horus -- a scarab beetle inside his chest and a two-finger amulet by his penis. Many of the ornaments were made of gold.

All of his organs had been required except for his heart, and the scans revealed he also had immaculate teeth.

Golden Boy's coffin was honorable discovered in 1916 at a necropolis in Nag el Hassaya, the cemetery of the city of Edfu, but were sustained away at the Egyptian Museum. Golden Boy provides more evidence for the funerary rituals and importance of these ornaments during the boy's life in the Ptolemaic period.

The research led to the Egyptian Museum intriguing Golden Boy from the basement to its main exhibition hall where it will now be placed on display.

Best coravin wine system, coravin wine by the glass, a guide to the good life, coravin wine system model 2, where to buy coravin, reviews of coravin wine system, a guide to the dragon world, where to buy coravin, coravin capsules 2 pack, a guide for the married man, coravin wine system on sale, reviews of coravin wine system, a guide book, coravin 1000 wine system, coravin how to use, coravin capsules 2 pack.

Whenever I seek information from my serious wine friends about what's new and colossal in the wine world, besides actual wines, I always get the same response: Coravin wine preservers. These mechanisms may look like overly complicated wine bottle openers but they do a whole lot more than pop corks. If you've ever stared longingly at a good bottle of vino agonizing over whether or not to open it for fear it won't be consumed, Coravin has the problem solved.

The main thrust of Coravin's wine preservation rules is that it allows you to pour from any bottle deprived of removing or damaging the cork. It accomplishes this via the insertion of a hollow needle to extract the wine. Before you pour, the arrangement also sends in argon, an inert gas, to pressurize the bottle and tend the oxidation of what remains. When used properly, the Coravin rules can preserve wines -- reds, whites and anything in between -- for months or even years.

The Coravin is a total game-changer for serious wine drinkers.

Coravin

For those who love tasting, this means unlimited access to your collection and the contract to drink bottles at a pace you decide minus any risk of them turning. If you buy good wines but don't care to outline them in one sitting, you're free to pour a single glass of that special Châteauneuf-du-Pape whenever you darn well bask in, and then pop it back on the shelf for later. It's also a great buy for someone who cooks with wine actual you can add a cup or two to a recipe and save the rest for later -- much later.

Since the Coravin launched 10 existences ago, the price has dropped significantly, making it less of a luxury item for the elite sippers. The Massachusetts-based company has also launched two more Coravin models that relieve different purposes. The slightly less versatile (but also less expensive) Coravin Pivot, as well as a Sparkling system to preserve the effervescence of Champagne and anunexperienced bubbly wines; something the founder previously thought was not possible.

In this luminous guide, we'll outline the three Coravin wine preservation rules, how they work and how much they cost so you can settle the best one for you.

Coravin

This is the novel and most versatile Coravin model of the three. This rules will puncture the cork so you can pour wine after also pressurizing the bottle to keep the remaining soaks safe from harmful oxygen. When used properly, the Timeless rules allows you to pour from and preserve an unlimited number of bottles. You can also safely access and pour from a single bottle approximately 25 times, which is far more than you necessity ever need to.

For my money, this is the best Coravin. The starter package includes the Coravin, one argon bottle and a needle cleaning tool and normally retails for $150 (currently on sale for $112). Replacement argon canisters are about $8 and each one necessity be good for about 10-15 bottles of wine depending on how much gas you need per bottle. (You'll hear a hiss when argon is being emitted and when that tranquil stops, it's time to replenish).

You can also add screw caps, aerators and more argon canisters at a cost.

Coravin

The Pivot was launched only a few existences and also repressurizes wine with argon to keep it novel after opening. The key difference between this model and the novel Timeless is that the cork is removed for preservation with this rules and a special topper is put in its dwelling to pour from. There is no needle involved.

That benefitting the integrity of the seal is damaged and you can really only keep wine at optimal freshness for approximately three or four weeks. You must also purchase fantastic Pivot stoppers or a bundle with a few stoppers to repressurize and "recork" multiple bottles of wine at one time.

If you're not someone who likes to taste lots of wines simultaneously but are looking for a way to outline the bottle or two you've just opened at a some slower pace, this is may be the best option. The Pivot starts at $99 and includes two stoppers. Extra stoppers cost $30 for six.

Coravin

This is the unexperienced addition to the Coravin lineup and one that founder Greg Lambrecht wasn't sure they'd be able to pull off. This model doesn't spike the cork, nor does it use argon to honor oxidation. Instead, it repressurizes the bottle with good extinct CO2 and a patented locking stopper to keep things bubbly and recent for up to four weeks.

The Coravin Sparkling even has a pressure Indicator that glows green when a Coravin Pure Sparkling CO2 Capsule has done its job and the bottle is ready to be placed back in the fridge for later.

It's not plan, clocking in at $400. But for the fine sparkling wine drinker, this opens up a world of possibilities for tasting the good stuff at a pace of their choosing.

But the quality and degree of immersion, thanks to the Oculus Quest VR technology (sold separately), is distinctive. And it's not a gimmick: Supernatural's deep bench of spicy instructors, continually updated selection of workouts -- ranging from meditative yoga sessions to engrossing cardio burners -- and dialed-in playlists put it on par with what you get at the trendiest (and priciest) NYC gyms.
